Education is continuously changing and technology in the classroom is definitely one of the biggest changes. We have some of the best web-based, educational programs, but are unable to take full advantage of them, because we either have to share computers or schedule time in the lab as it comes available. My students come to me with minimal keyboarding skills, yet are expected to take rigorous assessments on a computer. This puts them at a disadvantage from the start. If we had consistent access to Chromebooks they could not only use them to assist in learning the content, but also learn how to navigate and operate a computer efficiently and effectively.
