Students who use manipulative more than worksheets are found to be more interested in education. Worksheets can become boring and repetitive. The students will have more exposure to geometrical shapes and how they work. The measurement tool will help expand vocabulary such as “bigger and smaller”. Also, the students will have an opportunity to perform small scale experiments. The girls will have an opportunity to make a hypothesis about weight and measurement. This will lead to our girls becoming comfortable on analyzing a situation and making a guess on what could happen (i.e. engineer or scientist). The sight words building blocks will also assist in building and teamwork skills.
