Having fun, interesting and engaging manipulatives ready and accessible during speech therapy sessions, will give the students the opportunity to take charge and be more willing to participate in the speech sessions' activities at hand. To engage in requesting and have conversational exchanges while at the same time focusing on producing accurate sounds in words is one of the main focus during speech therapy sessions. These are all skills that are needed in the everyday life to be efficient communicators. These manipulatives will also aid in enhancing the four main learning modalities: kinesthetic (moving), visual (seeing), auditory (hearing), and tactile (touching).
