These agriscience lab materials will make a tremendous difference in my students’ learning. As we continue to shift into an inquiry-based, student-led curriculum, these materials will allow students to learn a variety of agricultural concepts through hands-on labs. These agriscience lab materials will enable students to apply concepts by completing guided activities, projects, and problems which are a huge part of enhancing the students’ retention of the information learned. Students will also design their own studies of natural resources, plants, and animals as they relate to agriculture in our world! Students will explore the processes of photosynthesis and respiration, analyze food handling and storage techniques, compare soil types and structures, and determine water quality through a number of tests. Having access to our own equipment will allow students exposure to a larger variety of these labs and greater flexibility within our program!
