Many of my students have an academic need with one or more reading standards. This requires a great deal of individualized planning and content delivery to support their learning. Our school has made the "BIG" investment into literacy enhancement by providing teaching staff with additional training and materials and by purchasing literacy technology that students can access at home and school to foster their growth in this content area. My project will support reading development for my students on an individualized, meaningful level that will promote overall literacy. Students will have equal access to these requested iPads so that they are able to access literacy technology designed to support their needs as English Language Learners and developing readers. The students will be able to utilize these devices individually throughout the day, and access programs that are designed to meet their unique needs as developing readers.
