Lunch is so late!! My students arrive at school by 8:30 and lunch is at 1 pm. Many of them are coming from homes where meals are scarce. The only place they eat is at school. By having snacks, we can help them power through the day with focus and pay attention in class. In addition, some students arrive to school late due to traffic, public transportation delays, taking care of siblings or even their own kids, so they miss lunch and the breakfast bars and juice would be right on time for them! Snacks are an easy incentive to get a frustrated student back on track!

About my class
