Being able to see the math being learned about is important in understanding the material. Having graph paper allows students to be able to do some of this. Color pencils help students color code their work so that they can distinguish between different steps along the way. Creating visuals in math helps students form a better understanding of the material, building success. These supplies will help students have a more meaningful math experience. Many students are struggling learners who are significantly below grade level. Any extra supports they can get to help with their understanding is beneficial to their success.
