The reading and writing core curriculum provided by the district is a hybrid curriculum that provides materials and resources both in print and online. Many components of the curriculum can only be accessed online. In my classroom, we utilize both the print and the online components daily. In a technology driven world, our students need to have easy access to the technology that is providing them with their core content. Having computer mouses will allow students to more easily navigate the technology we use in the classroom. The earbuds will allow for differentiated instructed allowing students to work independently at their instructional level. This is especially helpful for English language learners and students with learning disabilities who may need instruction to be tailored to their abilities.
