My fourth graders and I love writing in secret code—cursive! I spend year after year teaching the future generations the writing of the past. Without cursive students cannot read historical documents or properly sign papers. The more you see cursive the easier you can read it. This carpet area with cursive alphabet will enhance our learning of cursive by reinforcing through a visual that students can easily see all day. We spend lots of time on our old crusty plain carpet reading and learning. With a cursive carpet students can learn to read cursive without realizing they’re learning! At the end of the year students look forward to being presented with their cursive license. This precious keepsake means so much to every student. Help them earn their license with a new rug!
