My students love to read and problem solve. They love a good story. Our school is in the process of learning about STEM and becoming STEM certified. I teach first grade and all subjects so I would like to incorporate STEM into all subjects. My students love fairy tales so I thought the STEM Fairy Tale Kits from Lakeshore would be a great way to incorporate STEM into the Language Arts Curriculum. I believe using fairy tales in the classroom is a lost art. Fairy tales teach life lessons using characters children love and can relate to. If the students can help the characters solve their problem then that's even better!
