Having a comfortable, quiet space, filled with books is important to me when creating a positive classroom learning environment. These shelves and book displays will showcase all the books my first graders can choose from and engage them in reading every day! Whether it is choosing a book to read silently, picking a book to model writing skills, or just browsing to spark their interests, having a full classroom library benefits the class in so many ways! This quiet space will also serve as a place for students to go and relax if they are feeling overwhelmed or anxious. Sensory bottles and comfortable pillows can help them relax and refocus.
