The rug gives my students an opportunity to daily look at numbers and mathematic equations to help familiarize them with a tough subject. The rug will be in the front of the class and used to bring students closer me and lessons I will be teaching them. The rug will be a key component in facilitating project-based learning in my classroom. In math we will be solving a variety of real life math problems and this rug will be useful in getting students acquainted with using math throughout the day. The rug will also be collaborative component used in the classroom to start mathematical discussions. Math is seen as a trouble area for many students, I want to use this rug to increase students comfort level when it comes to math and working with numbers.
