About my class

My second grade students will benefit greatly from having access to technology in our classroom on a daily basis rather than once a week. Most students have little or no access at home, and we need all the exposure we can get to prepare for our assessments-which are all on-line now! In order to give my students a chance to succeed in the modern 21st century society, I need to help build up their technology intelligence. Our IT person here at school is fantastic, but now we need the machines to learn on! These Chromebooks will let my students see and experience things they otherwise will never have the chance to, and learn about the vast world in which they live. If we want to help expand our acceptance of all beings, we need to be better educated about our world and our own place in it. With these Chromebooks in our classroom, we can correspond with students all over the world, we can practice our standards in fun and engaging ways, and we can correctly develop our writing capabilities.
