These iPads will allow me to better meet the needs of my gifted students by presenting them with multiple ways to experiment with content and help them focus on a career or goal that they would want to accomplish in adulthood. Within a lot of our units there are certain things that we have not been able to do because of lack of technology and out goal throughout gifted education is to breed their specific gifts and talents to help them self-discover and pick a long term career. I would love for my students to begin coding, experimenting with virtual reality, creating podcasts, using garage band, or creating iMovies all while connecting it with the content and exploring their career options. I truly believe that this is a vital part of their education as gifted students to find and seek our their strengths to apply them in an everyday world. My only goal is to help my students become successful adults. However, this is something, monetarily, that I cannot offer on my own.
