My students work hard all day, every year to do their best and get as much from their education as they can. A very large part of a well rounded ELA curriculum, as with math, science, and history, is learning how to research and use data in real-life applications. Attending high school in a low-income area means that we often do not have access to enough laptops, computers or Chromebooks for each student to guarantee success. Most students do not have access to a computer and the internet outside of school, making longer research and typing projects extremely difficult. Even though these classes have between 20-30 students in them, having these additional 8 Chromebooks would make a huge difference in the classroom and in the success rate of these students.
