“Junior Scholastic Magazine” will provide a source for relevant discussion concerning what is happening right now in the world. It will give my students background knowledge and information about current events to enhance their thinking and writing. The “action chairs” will provide seating for kids who require more movement while learning. Having a cupboard full of healthy snacks and containers to store them in will help students who might come to school without eating breakfast. It is hard to learn when you’re hungry. I hope to provide what my students need to get through the day and to continue their journey through the increasingly complex world around them. The materials, I have selected, will enhance the civics curriculum in our classroom and provide inspiration for thinking, writing and debating.
