First graders need the chance to get up and move around. It would be so nice to have a colorful place to sit when we are spending time together on the carpet learning. A colorful rug will help brighten our room. We are in a room that has no windows, therefore colorful decorations help make the room cheerful. We are on the carpet the majority of the day. We have our morning meetings there, the kids love to sit together and reflect. Being on the carpet together fosters a closeness that helps build the classroom community. We are family and time together on the carpet helps strengthen that bond!
