The tablets that I am requesting will be used in a variety of ways. To keep my students interested & motivated for our daily learning, I use some form of technology in every lesson that is presented. My classroom has 6 computers but unfortunately only 3 are working properly which doesn't give my students many opportunities to participate in the engaging enrichment software and websites available for remediation. If my project is approved and funded, I plan to download various educational apps and software onto these tablets that my students may use while in centers or during small group instruction. These programs will reinforce the skills that they are learning in class by giving them interactive activities that are engaging, leveled to their learning goals, and interesting to the students. The websites that I use, also gives me constant lesson feedback and my students' progress as it is being achieved through the activities they are completing. I truly believe that the added implementation of technology in every lesson will help to motivate and encourage my students. My students' neighborhoods, ethnicity, and economic backgrounds may differ, but I strive to provide my students with any advantage that I can to help them achieve more. Technology is just a tool, in terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important" Bill Gates.
