Flexible seating provides a welcoming space for students to make decisions and take ownership of their learning. Having these items throughout the classroom will provide movement throughout the day of learning for my students. My classroom population consists of students with Autism that are in need of various needs and supports. Flexible spaces with bean bag chairs, stools and cushions will allow my students to have responsibility for their learning and improve their academic achievement. I have seen how providing these accommodations to ALL types of learners has been positive and I look forward to seeing how its positive effect for my students!
