Recess, many students favorite time of day! It is a time to stretch, move, and interact with other peers. However, sometimes outdoor recess cannot occur due to many obstacles. I want to make my students indoor recess fun, while also engaging. By choosing STEM materials such as Brainflakes, Jenga, Magnetic Building Blocks, and Imagination Flakes students are not only able to interact with their peers but use critical thinking skills to further their own learning while having fun! These materials will help students learn to work toward a goal, interact with other students, play on teams, and resolve disagreements independently, all while having fun during indoor recess. We currently don't have any games in our classroom that students can play during indoor recesses. By receiving these materials, students will be able to have an interactive indoor recess that will have students cheering, even when not able to be outdoors!
