This class set of magazine subscriptions will allow the students in my classroom to bridge the gap between what they learn in the classroom to how this relates to the world around us. The kids in my classroom love to learn but they often think a career in science is out of their reach. I want to show them that there are many branches of science they can work in, many different people who work in science, and that no matter what your background is, you can be successful. I'd love to have this resource to help enrich student learning in my classroom. Not only does this resource allow student to see science in the real world but this also enhances literacy in science and it also enhances reading comprehension skills that can be utilized across multiple contents.
