Supplies are important for students and teachers. Without items like velcro or headphones, students are limited to the ways they can learn. Velcro is used in our calm down corner, as well for our spelling work; students will be able to physical create their spelling words. Even though the items are basic office supplies, they are still needed for my special education students. A calendar so my students can learn their days of the week and celebrate milestones. Headphones so my students can do testing on the computer. Our classroom is going to become like a home for these students, and I want to ensure that I am not just teaching them what they need; I am also providing them with tools that will help them succeed at school.
