It will be an honor to receive your help. The supplies that I am requesting are to give my students different ways of learning. I believe the use of color enhances our learning and it helps us remember things. This is why I ask for your donations for markers and colored pencils. We color-code our math notes to emphasize important information. Students are able to make connections and see it through the use of color. For independent work time they are able to use their notes. It is easier to see steps through color. We use markers for art projects that supplement their learning. We create anchor charts for ELA. These serve the students as notes that not only have information but also pictures that were drawn by them to help them retain information. Later on, they are able to come back to their anchor charts and use them as notes for independent work or homework. Students learn through differentiated learning. You will be fostering my students learning by helping me display sentence frames by using pocket holders. Also, students learn better in smaller groups. It is why I ask for your help for a small easel that will help me stay organized in our small group area. I like to reward students that show respect, are responsible and safe. Each week I choose a student that sits in our library corner where they can relax and still be part of our class discussions and activities. They are able to invite a friend. New chairs will help me continue give them this incentive. They work hard and try their best in order to be chosen. My students will love this and their new supplies.
