These trikes will be used weekly in the special needs preschool times at school. We work throughout the year on different skills. These new or improved skills are used when we attend our Unified Champions or Special Olympics day in May. The trikes will be another source to use in building the children's developmental skills. Physically, they will build bones and muscles to become strong. Cognitively, they will learn hand and eye coordination and how to maneuver a bike. Socially and emotionally, they will learn to take turns and be responsible in keeping themselves and others safe while riding. Creatively, they will learn that they can move the trikes in ways that will make them feel like they are flying.
