These books will foster language growth of my students. I will create interactive lessons from the books to reinforce vocabulary through themes such as days of the week, geography, history, and culture. Through these stories students will create alternative endings, retell the story and interactively act out scenes, creating community and trust. These activities will allow students to internalize the language in an authentic way to increase their verbal, auditory, written, and reading proficiency. As a culminating project, in groups, students will create a short story using the target vocabulary and structures acquired from the various units and lessons taught.
