Binders and dividers for organizing notes and papers will help my students be more successful. Organization is a skill that needs to be explicitly taught before students enter high school. Good organization can ease undue stress for students as they can easily find what they need when they need it. With less stress, students are ready to learn more. Organization is not a natural skill for most students, so I will be leading my students through organization strategies in a deliberate and step-by-step manner all year. This will help the students be successful next year, as they move to the typical secondary education setting (middle school) where they will be changing classrooms and teachers many times during the school day. Help me give my students the organizational tools they need so they can be successful as they move forward in their education. Many students of poverty do not have money to purchase a high quality binder and dividers. They come with inadequate supplies that do not work well and then experience frustration, which makes learning more difficult.
