I want my student’s to see themselves reflected in the stories I read to them. This year is the first time that I will be teaching remotely. I want my student’s to see the diverse world we live in. Many of the students come from military families and move around frequently. I want to provide stability in an uncertain world. These books will enable me to show the students in my classroom the many cultures and backgrounds of different groups of people. I think they will be pleased to see themselves in the literature.
