My class aims to be independent and successful learners. In order to reach that goal in the classroom, I provide clear examples with a gradual release of responsibility to students. With distance learning now taking place at home, students have felt more confused and overwhelmed by the online tasks. Even with the videos, reference sheets, and other digital resources my team and I post, live tutoring seems to be the most effective way to engage students, improve work quality, and help them feel successful. A document camera would increase the quality of my online tutoring and help students continue to learn at home.
