My students are young learners, just emerging into numbers and letters. They need activities that provide fun, authentic experiences in lieu of paper and pencil lessons. If a child can’t learn the way you're teaching, then teach the way they learn. This means hands-on for this class. My students will be able go to independent centers with self checking activities to boost their confidence in foundational reading. They will discover items that begin and end with certain letter sounds. They will build words and broaden their comprehension with corresponding pictures. They will then be able to build sentences and draw pictures of what their sentences are saying! Thank you in advance for your generosity and for caring about my students.
