I want my kindergarten students to view reading as playful, exciting, adventurous and engaging. To that end, I would like to create an inviting reading nook where kiddos can "camp out" with a good book. I have an abundance of children's books, but I do not have a durable tent for children to cozy up to a book of their choosing in. The children's teepee will help me create a playful, cozy reading environment. This playful reading environment will help my students see themselves as readers, practice reading, grow as readers throughout the school year, and meet their reading goals.
