My preschool students need hands on manipulatives to feel and move to assist them in learning and demonstrating foundational educational skills. Using auditory and visual teaching modalities in distant learning is insufficient to instill these concepts in their minds. With the bears, my students can touch, manipulate and compare sizes of the bears.( big vs. small) They can be interactive with me as we count together with one to one correspondence different quantities of bears. The students can physically show me colors, complete patterns, and set quantities when their language skills are limited.
