I currently teach 35 8th grade students. These are students who struggle with many of the different steps of reading: fluency, comprehension, vocabulary... They are very motivated to improve their reading and hope to be able to do so before they begin high school next year. They attend an urban middle school with 900 students and have a specially designed reading focus class each day. There is also the opportunity built into the day for additional remediation time in the components of reading.
