Each morning, my goal is to set the tone of the day by having students come into the class and look forward to their day. I'd love for them to warm up their brains and hands using collaborative engineering! While this is very beneficial to the students' learning, it will be disguised through play! Tinkering with toys seems like the perfect morning for many kids, and using specifically chosen STEM based toys is the perfect morning routine for me. (It is almost like hiding vegetables in food- great for both kids and the adults!) This is a hands-on alternative to many teachers "morning worksheets", and I find it is a more natural adjustment from home to school! Please help me get my students' brains jogged in a creative, collaborative, and entertaining way!
