I have a lot of striving learners in class. These students are very active but also do want to try their very best! The use of these different flexible seating options will provide students who have trouble sitting still, or those that just need to find that comfy spot to really dive into their learning the opportunity to really succeed. The traditional sit at your desk all day doesn't work for us as adults, so it definitely doesn't work with high energy 1st graders. Opportunities for each of them to spread out for independent work or to get cozy with a buddy and read will really help foster a love for learning! I can't wait to see each one of these students grow this year, and with your help, I just know they can surpass all of their goals!
