My students currently have very limited access to engaging with Shakespeare's plays. To be competitive with other students their age, as well as to prepare them for college, my students need the opportunity to dive into Macbeth and the world of Shakespeare. My students will not only read this play, but they will act it out, transform it into how it could look in today's world, and hopefully be able to see it live at a local theater! Exploring the tragedy of Macbeth will deepen students' understanding of the tragic hero through a hands-on unit that exposes them to new literature, yet engages students through its connection to the present day.

About my class
