Our students come from diverse backgrounds and like all students learn better in a setting where they can complete their work through hands on learning. Graphing on a coordinate plane and finding the distance between 2 points is often challenging for students and can be better taught in a small group setting where students can see it modeled and then practice it themselves. Having students complete their work on whiteboards is also beneficial because it is a formative assessment that allows us to see where students are in the learning process. By donating to our project, you will help us teach our students how to graph points using both the x and y axis. These coordinate grids will be beneficial during lessons on graphing and will provide students with a hands on and more meaningful way of learning.
