The book Restart by Gordon Korman will be used as a class read-aloud, consistently a best practice in teaching literacy, and a great way to engage students! The whiteboards are essential to keep all students on-task and involved and a great way to get feedback on student learning and understanding. A bonus is that these whiteboards are also clipboards (multipurpose - space saver!) which are great tools for allowing students to move around the room and take their papers and a writing surface with them. The stools give students seating choices and offer a little more 'wiggle room' than the tables/chairs in my room. And the stylus? My attempt at helping students to read my 'chicken scratch' as I write on my Chromebook!
