Our students do not have easy access to public libraries, and we do not have a physical school library. These books will be used in our quarterly book club meetings, and to ensure our students will have books to hold in their hands and stories to share with other students and with their families. Our students need to see themselves in books. They need to be able to read about people that look and sound like their friends and family. They need to read about situations like the ones they've experienced. In addition, we will host author Jason Reynolds at our school this year. We have a special interest in adding some of his books to our collection.
