Technology has become an integral part of the 21st century learner's skill set. Students must not only know how to access the vast world of information available online, but they must be able to use technology effectively to learn independently and to communicate their understandings. In order for students to become effective communicators and engaged learners in our academic community, they need ample opportunity to practice both listening and speaking in a safe, structured learning environment. Our students are provided with a Chromebook as part of the district's 1:1 initiative, but some students do not have headphones and/or microphones. To meet our students' individual needs, instruction will include a mixture of whole group, small group, and independent activities. We would be remiss if we did not tap into visual, audio, and interactive online materials available online.
