I was recently moved from a 4th grade life skills classroom to a kindergarten life skills classroom. I need materials that are geared towards teaching my students the basic everyday skills. Although I am asking for material to be used in my kindergarten classroom, it could be used in grades k-4. This project will help my students work on calendar skills, counting, patterns, weather, seasons, literacy, and social skills. The rug that I chose will help manage the class during circle time. The student will be expected to find a certain color and shape to sit on during our circle time in the morning.
