Through exploration, multiple safe practices and reflection my students will have the chance to achieve their goals of becoming strong and confident readers. The voice recorders will allow students in groups to read at their own pace in their own time, receive constructive feedback from their peers and monitor their growth as readers. The Elmo will allow me and my students to demonstrate the meta cognitive processes of strong readers and writers in real time reading strategy and practice text by way of annotations and hypothetical writing prompts. I will do this through modeling writing behaviors and meta cognitive behaviors.
