Differentiation is my life. I am always looking for ways to differentiate instruction. Using tools such as IXL, Zearn, MobyMax & Embarc which offer specialized lessons and practice geared to students' individual levels, are especially useful when my students are studying a topic where their range of knowledge is vast. With dedicated Chromebooks in our classroom, students can get individualized instruction in exactly what they need. My plan is to use the Chromebooks for students who are behind, or have been absent, to catch up on the skills we've been working on. With IXL and MobyMax, I can track student progress and better assess my students who struggle in math. Along with helping struggling students, these Chromebooks will also serve a purpose for my more advanced students. These students will have the opportunity to access technology for research purposes and to further their studies by going deeper into the material and creating links to other concepts in the mathematics curriculum.
