I am asking for an Apple bundle for use in my 8th Grade English- Language Arts Classroom. I am asking for an iPad, Apple Pen, and Apple TV.
Apple has several apps for students that will enhance their creativity and classroom engagement.
With the iPad and Apple Pen, group work will be more fulfilling and enhanced with the use of programs like Plickers. Annotating nonfiction articles (traditionally students have struggled with this or score lower in this area) will come to life as they mark their papers with their thoughts individually and with partners through programs like Stage. We can brainstorm papers and ideas together with ibrainstorm. This is just a shortlist of the amazing things we will be doing in my classroom.
Some may question how Apple TV would be used for education. The Apple TV would transform my ordinary whiteboard into a completely new and innovative classroom tool in conjunction with the iPad and Apple Pen. This bundle would take the place of a stationary document camera in conjunction with my classroom projector. Some apps and features will dually function similarly to a SmartBoard and give students the opportunity to engage with what they are seeing and working within real-time.
