Schools have become completely too academic for our young learners. The expectations put on my students can be completely overwhelming and stressful. I would love to give my kindergartners more time to play so that they can develop their social and emotional skills that they need to be kind and caring members of society. With these play centers such as LEGO bricks, Mega Bloks and Mag builders, I hope that my students will be able to decompress and let go of the academic stresses they may feel throughout the day. These young learners really need the opportunity to be a kid and have time to play each day where they will work on skills such as team work, and communication, while having fun and playing!

About my class
