Giving my students the tools to be successful, life long learners is one of my goals as a teacher. Teaching them the correct way to use their "voice", through public speaking, reading their stories, and sharing their thoughts, while giving them the confidence to do so. Also, allowing them some "choice" in their seating options, throughout the day. Comfortable and flexible options. Lastly, as an AVID school, I want to instill the understanding of the importance of organization, while giving them the tools to learn how. This can be done, by organizing the classroom material in bins and containers to contain and keep this organized.

About my class
