Our school has changed the alignment of our multi-grade classrooms in order to add a stand-alone Kindergarten. Our classroom was previously for second and third graders, but is now home to first and second graders. I was able to move our more advanced books into classrooms with third and fourth graders, but with a larger number of kindergarten students at the school than before, we have fewer leveled books to support guided reading for our first graders, particularly in the A - G range. Please help these students that need the greatest support to feel included by equipping them with books that build their confidence and stamina. We have another classroom of first and second graders right next door, so be assured that none of these books will go unread.
