Play is an important part of a young child's development. Children learn to navigate their world through play and social interactions with peers. The materials in my project will allow my students the opportunity to learn through hands-on building, experimenting and play. Research shows us that children learn best when their whole bodies are actively involved in the learning process. The marble run, gears, ramps, and magnetic building tiles and cars will directly enhance our Science unit for Push and Pull. The Math games will allow my students to engage their bodies and minds in their learning while interacting with their peers.
