Our school is fortunate enough to have a 25 minute reading period built into our schedule. This is an amazing time for students to have a mental break during the hectic day and enter into the world of literature. Providing students with a variety of options in two different languages will keep them immersed in their books and also improve vocabulary and reading fluency. Although this is a science classroom, the chosen books are from a variety of genres since the main goal of this project is to simply get students reading more! Any improvement in ELA skills is an improvement to every other subject.

About my class
