I am looking for donations in order to purchase the Qball throwable wireless microphone. This handy piece of technology allows students to hear and be heard while in the classroom. As much as we try to keep our classroom noise levels at a reasonable level, there is always those few students who create extra noise in the room. If a child cannot hear the directions, how do we expect them to succeed? A child's auditory processing does not completely develop until the age of 15. As an adult if you miss a few words here and there in a conversation, you can piece together what the other person is saying. A school age child is mentally unable to do this. This is why I believe a wireless microphone would be a great tool for the elementary classroom. Plus, it can be thrown around the room to encourage student engagement.
