These materials offer a place for hands-on learning, as well as offering different seating options. The rug would be a great space for my elementary students and me to learn songs, read books, and have small group instruction. For my middle schoolers, the bean bags, saucer chairs, and ottoman offer a more "relaxed" seating option for my whole-group instruction. Learning English as a second language can be very stressful; the classroom culture and environment are vital for my students! As an ESOL teacher, I like to provide a safe space for my students and I am passionate about building relationships with them. "Creating a Cozy Culture" for my classroom is very important!
